Baby This Is Keke Palmer or Metra Train refers to a viral Twitter thread by user @TrixieNumba9 where she shares an image of actor Keke Palmer and a commenter claims it's a photo of her sister who was killed by a Metra train, asking her to take it down, the original poster responding, "Baby, this is Keke Palmer." The poster uploaded a video reading through the tweets in October 2023. The comment became a prevalent copypasta in the following years.
On June 21st, 2023, Twitter user @TrixieNumba9 posted a video reading a previous tweet where she shares a photo of Keke Palmer, writing, "All the girls that looked like this in highschool could suck a mean dick." A commenter responded claiming the photo shows her sister, who was killed by a Metra Train (Chicago's rail system), asking the poster to take the photo down. The poster responds, "Baby, this is Keke Palmer." The original tweet has been removed as Twitter user @TrixieNumba9 is suspended from the platform at the time of writing. On September 1st, 2023, YouTuber john, stay calm uploaded the video where the poster reads through the tweet thread, gaining over 9.3 million views in two years (shown below).

The "metra train" comment spread as a copypasta over the following years, posted over photos of celebrities. On November 2nd, 2023, it was posted to /r/copypasta, gaining over 120 upvotes in two years. On November 19th, Twitter user @kaykachingwe pasted the comment under a now-deleted tweet, gaining over 3,000 likes in two years. On December 19th, Twitter user @spnchbob retweeted it, attached to an image of a K-pop artist, gaining over 380 likes in a comparable span of time (shown below).
On April 7th, 2023, Keke Palmer posted the photo seen in the viral tweet thread to Twitter, writing, "My granny was such a vibe in the 1940's." On April 8th, actress Halle Berry retweeted the now-deleted post by Palmer and wrote, "Baby, that’s KeKe Palmer," gaining over 264,000 likes and 27,000 retweets in a year. On the same day, Newsweek included in tweet in a story about the copypasta. On May 10th, the viral video was uploaded to TikTok, gaining over 2.5 million views in a year. On October 26th, the original sound was used in a video posted by TikToker @onebrowraised replacing the image of Keke with Seong Gi-hun's ID Photo, gaining over 2.3 million views in eight months (shown below).
In December 2023, Keke Palmer started selling merchandise referencing the meme. On May 28th, 2023, Twitter user @cuddapotato posted a video of Keke as a judge on the show Legendary, writing, "Keke tossed Jameela under that Metra Train😩," gaining over 45,000 likes in six days (shown below).
